Location - About Roleystone Located just 35km southeast of the Perth CBD, Roleystone enjoys some of Western Australia’s most magnificent landscapes. Part of the Darling Range escarpment (known as the ‘Perth Hills’), Roleystone is based on the enormous edge of an ancient granite outcrop. Roleystone’s multitude of orchards is the area’s trademark, with fresh produce on offer from local growers all throughout the year. Many people know Roleystone from a previous visit to Araluen Botanic Park – perhaps during the annual Chilli Festival, or in springtime when the blossoming tulips attract visitors from all over Perth. Roleystone is also home for some original art galleries, such as Maxwell’s Fine Art Gallery or the nearby Phillips Galleries. Roleystone has enjoyed rising popularity in recent years as the short travel distance from Perth attracts both locals and tourists to the lush scenic views. |
