Sound & Colour (Free Exhibition Opening)
In this exhibition you will find paintings created by music students from the Sounds of Genesis school of music in Roleystone. The artists’ ages range between 5 and 15 years.
Each term, the students meet for some group work in one of a range of workshops. The most recent workshop was conducted by Anna and Korie Gath, both visual artists who also experiment in music.
In the course of this workshop, students were introduced to music instruments from Asia, such as the Gamelan. The students played, improvised and experimented with the sounds, and then related them to colours and painting.
Here the paintings are arranged in groups, like upright triptychs, according to colours, shapes and mood. |
